Courtney, Riley, and Nick moved the canoe to the art gallery in first floor South Coop at Unity College. It will be there on display until March 2, 2010.
South Coop is located on Unity College campus left of the cafeteria and book store. The first floor houses the art gallery and art class rooms. The second floor is home to conference style class rooms as well as faculty offices.
On a light note, the canoe had to be transported in and out of the building through the art gallery window.

To Start . . .
Last night Courtney, Riley, and Nick wiped down the canoe with wet rags. It was rather dirty, so they had to do it more than once.
Courtney, Riley, and Nick were able to get in touch with Henri Vaillancourt, who will give them advice about where to go with the project. He may also provide structural information. To learn more about him go to http://www.birchbarkcanoe.net/.
A proposal will eventually need to be given to Unity College to hang the canoe in the library. Courtney, Riley, and Nick also hope that Unity College will donate money to cover materials and labor.
Questions That Still Need Answered:
Who used this birch bark canoe?
How was it constructed?
