Ken Weeks charges $500 a day to go to a location and look at a canoe. This is out of the budget of the North American Indians class. So once again, the project has no professional guidance.

Follow Courtney, Riley, and Nick (students from Unity College in Maine taking the North American Indians Class) as they restore a 25lb, 14' birch bark canoe. Bill Beute (whereabouts unknown) donated the canoe in the late 1970s with canoe magazines that were thrown out. Chris Marshall, the class's professor, will provide guidance as they attempt to restore this canoe. The final plan is to hang the canoe from the ceiling in the Quimby Library.
